The Town has a Curfew Bylaw:  Children under the age of sixteen are not to be out in any public place after 11:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m., unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.  To review the actual bylaw, refer to Bylaw No. 2109.

The Town has an Animal Control Bylaw:  All dogs are required to be licensed after the age of six months.  This license fee is a one time purchase for the lifetime of the dog. 

Dogs are to be on a leash when not on your property.  If your dog is found running at large, it will be taken to the dog pound and all costs and charges must be paid by the owner prior to getting the animal back.

You are responsible to clean up after your dog when not on your property. 

All cats are to be kept on the owner's property and are to be on a leash when not on your property.  Cats running at large may be seized and impounded. 

Other animals, such as chickens, cows, horses, etc., are not permitted within the town limits.  For further details about this bylaw, refer to Bylaw No. 2911.

The Town permits Golf Carts:  Golf Carts are permitted to be operated between sunrise and one half hour after sunset on all public highways within the limits of the Town, with the exception of Highway 13 except for crossing.  For details, please refer to Bylaw No. 2603.

The Town has a new water and sewer rates bylaw, effective January 1, 2010.  For details, please refer to Bylaw No. 2919.  Beginning in 2010, the Town will be charging 2% interest monthly on all overdue utility accounts.  Bylaw No. 2917 may also be of interest to you; it details the process for water and sewer usage within the Town.
